Position Overview / Scope of Role:

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall financial operations, controls, and performance management of Blue Mountain Bottling & Manufacturing S.Co. across its diversified business units including water bottling, plastic manufacturing, food & spice processing, and vegetable gardening operations.

The role ensures strong financial governance, operational cost control, profitability management, and financial planning across all business lines while supporting the company’s growth, efficiency, and sustainability objectives. The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role in strengthening financial systems, managing working capital, improving operational efficiency, and supporting executive decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting.

The position requires a highly analytical, disciplined, and commercially driven finance leader capable of managing complex manufacturing and agro-processing financial operations in a multi-business environment.

Top Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership and Operational Control
• Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions across the company’s business units.
• Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and compliance systems.
• Establish disciplined financial management practices across operations.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to management on operational and business decisions.

Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and business planning processes.
• Prepare consolidated budgets covering all operational units and departments.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support management with financial projections and scenario analysis.

Cost Control and Profitability Management
• Oversee cost accounting and cost control systems across manufacturing and agricultural operations.
• Monitor production costs, material utilization, labor costs, and operational overheads.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis across water bottling, plastic manufacturing, and food processing operations.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and improve operational profitability.
• Ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis across all business lines.

Inventory, Raw Material, and Resource Control
• Ensure proper financial control over inventory, raw materials, packaging materials, and agricultural inputs.
• Monitor stock movements, variances, shortages, wastage, and overconsumption.
• Strengthen inventory valuation and stock control systems.
• Coordinate with operational teams to improve resource utilization efficiency.

Receivable, Payable, and Cash Flow Management
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable management across all business units.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and proper follow-up mechanisms.
• Manage supplier payments, payable schedules, and working capital efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational continuity.

Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and operational analysis.
• Provide profitability, variance, and performance analysis to management.
• Generate executive-level financial reports and dashboards for decision-making.
• Ensure reliability and integrity of financial information.

Manufacturing and Agro-Processing Financial Oversight
• Support operational efficiency through financial monitoring of production and agricultural activities.
• Analyze operational KPIs including production efficiency, yield, waste, and cost drivers.
• Support integration of agricultural output with food processing operations through proper financial planning and analysis.

Pricing and Commercial Financial Support
• Participate in product pricing and selling price review processes.
• Provide cost build-up analysis and financial recommendations for pricing decisions.
• Ensure profitability considerations are incorporated into commercial decisions.

Taxation, Compliance, and Audit Management
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory obligations.
• Oversee tax filings, declarations, and financial compliance activities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Maintain audit readiness and proper documentation systems.

Financial Systems and Process Improvement
• Strengthen financial systems, reporting structures, and internal procedures.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Business Partnership
• Work closely with production, supply chain, sales, HR, and operational teams.
• Provide financial insights and support to improve business performance.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across all functions.
• Establish clear roles, KPIs, and accountability systems within the department.
• Promote professionalism, discipline, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Risk Management and Financial Governance
• Identify financial and operational risks affecting the business.
• Establish risk mitigation and control measures.
• Ensure strong governance and accountability across financial operations.

About You

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master’s Degree (MBA, MSc in Finance/Accounting, or related field) is highly preferred
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior finance leadership role
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and operational financial management is highly preferred
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, agro-processing, or multi-business environments is highly desirable
• Proven experience in managing financial operations within complex operational environments
