MSD is a non-profit, civic society organization founded in 1999 to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Since then, MSD works to strengthen the socio-economic development of the wider community, and the nation at large. Working with partners and stakeholders, MSD advance the voice of citizens and community structures in service delivery, identifying priority needs, provide support and services to target groups with education, skills and promote opportunity to get along with assets. Aligned to its vision, mission and strategic objectives, MSD has been working in different development, emergency and humanitarian endeavors including HIV Prevention, care and support, Orphan and vulnerable children (OCV) care and support, Sexual and Reproductive health (SRH),Family Planning (FP), Gender Based Violence (GBV), migration, child protection and environmental protection. Through these technical area and services, it reached different hard to reach target groups including early married girls, GBV survivor, OVCs, refugees, PLHA, commercial sex workers and their clients, waitresses, long truck drivers, CSOs, CBOs and the community. At community level, the organization works with community members and community based social service providing institutions, schools, health facilities, government line offices, marginalized groups and professional associations.

Job Summary
An HR Manager Job description includes overseeing all aspects of an organization’s human resources functions, such as recruitment and hiring, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and ensuring legal compliance. Key responsibilities involve developing and implementing HR strategies to align with business goals, managing employee performance and engagement, resolving staff issues, maintaining HR policies and records, and managing the HR budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire hiring process, including creating job descriptions, advertising roles, interviewing candidates, and conducting exit interviews to gather feedback.
- Act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing grievances, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and manage development plans for continuous professional growth.
- Administer pay plans, benefits, leave policies, and other employee programs, often involving remuneration surveys and budget management.
- Ensure the organization adheres to employment laws and regulations and develops policies and procedures that comply with them.
- Monitor and appraise employee performance, including coaching managers on performance reviews and discipline.
- Collaborate with executives on long-term talent management and workforce planning to support the organization’s goals and growth.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of employee records, manage HR software, and handle other administrative HR tasks.
- Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- MBA/BA Degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 6/8 years direct work experience

- The ability to align HR strategies with overarching business objectives is crucial for long-term success.
