The successful candidate will be stable, experienced, willing to work as part of a team, and able to handle a variety of areas, including desktop support; network maintenance and support; phone system; security cameras; software; document management software; etc.

  • Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
  • Managing IT budgets, forecasting, handling cash flow and enforcing cost-effectiveness,
  • Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes,
  • Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware,
  • Assuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations,
  • Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively,
  • Implementing security of the network, data, and its storage and communication systems, and
  • Supporting the department with all the knowledge they have when needed,

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Running regular checks on network and data security,
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems,
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization,
  • Designing training programs and workshops for staff,
  • Conducting regular system audits,
  • Running and sharing regular operational system reports with senior staff,
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages,
  • Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget,
  • Providing direction for IT team members,
  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement,
  • Managing information technology and computer systems,
  • Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations,
  • Collaborative team member,
  • Experience coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance,
  • Ability to identify software needs,
  • Knowledge of architecture processes and performance reports of operating systems,

  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation,
  • Ability to manage personnel,
  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services,
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure,
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes,
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs,
  • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software,
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT,
  • Generating performance reports for operating systems,
  • Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations,
  • Evaluating technology risks to develop a very good disaster recovery plan and backup procedures,
  • Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices,

About You
Education:

  • University BSc. degree in Computer Science, technology, or related fields

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Manager,
