Job Description (JD)

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Accurately record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, and expenses) into the accounting system or manual ledgers.
  • Documentation: Organize and maintain proper filing systems for invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and tax documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and petty cash accounts to ensure balances are accurate.
  • Invoice Processing: Prepare and issue customer invoices and assist in following up on accounts receivable.
  • Assistance with Tax: Help in the preparation of monthly tax filings (VAT, TOT, and Withholding Tax) as per Ethiopian tax laws.
  • Reporting: Assist senior accountants in preparing weekly or monthly financial summary reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are conducted in line with the factory’s internal controls and procedures.

  • Education: Diploma in Accounting
  • Experience: 0 years (Fresh Graduate)
  • Required Skills: Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel/Word)
  • Gender: Female
