Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Procurement Officer to join our team at East African Holding. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the procurement process,  is responsible for assisting the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for an organization. Their duties may include:

1 Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

2.Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to contractual agreements and terms.

3.Inventory Management: Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to monitor stock levels, identify procurement needs, and optimize inventory turnover.

4.Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and evaluate pricing strategies to support informed decision-making.

5.Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics activities such as transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods.

6.Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

7.Cost Analysis: Analyze procurement costs and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

 

Job Requirements

 1.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

2.Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement support roles

3.Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain dynamics, and inventory management principles.

4.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

5.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.

6.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

7.Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.

8.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

9.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
