Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare all incoming samples for testing.
  • Conduct all testing as per the sampling plan.
  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation, lab procedures, analytical recordkeeping, and calibration.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance, to troubleshoot a product defect or processing issue.
  • Participate in the discussion of potential root causes /RCFA/ and assist with the implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage sample retention and storage.
  • Participate as an active member on continuous improvement projects, like process optimization, product improvement and energy optimization.
  • Comply with all procedures, regulation, and policies applicable.
  • Actively participate in the establishment, implementation, maintaining and continually improvement of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Execute any related tasks given by the immediate supervisor.

Duration: One year contract

Location: Debreberhan, Ethiopia

Deadline: February 23, 2024

Job Requirements


  • University Degree in  Food Science, Applied Chemistry, Applied Biology, and related field.
  • At least one to three years of experience in Quality Analysis in food industry
  • This position requires awareness of HACCP, food hygiene and Quality standards.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent In English and Amharic
