The Project
Within the GIZ Program Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition”, sequa implements the “SME Support Scheme targeting growth orientated SMEs” project in Ethiopia. With this, sequa aims to facilitate business growth and job creation of Ethiopian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by increasing their competitiveness and productivity so that their products and services will satisfy the demand on local and international markets. A specific focus will be provided for women-owned SMEs, job-creation, and employability training for women.
Benefiting companies receive flexible and demand-oriented funding (management consulting, technical training, financial competence/business plan development, qualification, applied research activities, etc.). A special focus will be on advisory services to improve access to finance. The support scheme is expected to contribute to the change management and business growth of SMEs.
sequa has selected Minab IT Solutions PLC (HaHuJobs) through vetting process. Minab IT Solutions PLC provides Software Development, IT Consultancy, and Digital Solutions. HaHuJobs is an online platform in Ethiopia that connects job seekers with employers, utilising technology to simplify the job search and recruitment. The platform has identified several challenges in the Ethiopian job market, including a disconnect between the education system and employer demands, resulting in high youth unemployment and a shortage of qualified candidates. Furthermore, HaHuJobs offers comprehensive services for employers in vacancy posting and recruitment processes. These holistic services equip employers with all the necessary tools to post job announcements, collect applications, analyse candidates online, qualify applicants, conduct interviews, assess candidates, and ultimately hire the right individuals.
The objective of this assignment is to increase the visibility and brand awareness of HaHuJobs services through designing and implementation of market plan and digital marketing campaign. This will bring impactful result in enhancing increasing website traffic, total active HahuJobs Web Platform users and all Telegram bot users.
Your Tasks / Responsibilities
- Assess current marketing practices of the company and suggest practical improvements,
- Assist in the creation of suitable marketing plan for the HaHuJobs platform and its services focusing on enterprises,
- Assist the company in implementing core activities outlined in the marketing plan,
- Design a digital marketing campaign relevant to the Ethiopian context and market,
- Share best marketing practices and knowledge with the marketing team of HaHuJobs,
- Coach with plan implementation (incl. guidance on content, postings, visuals, style consistency, and campaigns),
- Implementing SEO and SEM strategies to improve online visibility.
Your Qualification / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing/sales, or a related field,
- National expertise in marketing campaigns that targets the youth and early professional demographics,
- Ability to take national brands and make them known internationally,
- Proven experience and visible achievement in the digital marketing of service-based products,
- Strong communication skills in English and Amharic,
- Excellent writing and reporting skills in English.
Your Working Experience
- More than 7 years of relevant professional experience in marketing and communication,
- Proven experience in marketing and increasing brand awareness of organizations and products,
- Strong experience in B2B Digital Marketing,
- Previous experience in consulting similar companies is an advantage.
