We are looking to hire Merchant Operations Manager to join our management team in Addis Ababa on a full-time basis. Finance department is looking for a hands-on professional who can provide experienced support to the POS Payments Team Manager, having a proven ability to work with minimal day to day supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that an accurate record of all financial transaction is maintained. –
- Ensures all payments and receivables are processed in accordance with the approved process.
- Ensure Proper Reconciliation and settlements with local and international parties.
- Ensure timely settlement with banks and financial institutions.
- Monitor all service-related accounts (Trust & the Pre-funded Account) and maintain accurate balances.
- Report exceptions & anomalies observed to the respective party.
- Formulate long and short-term strategies, plans, policies and procedures for Backoffice.
- Assesses Department’s workflow and proposes suggestions and recommendations to improve the same using best practices management tools in order to simplify procedures, improve performance, reduce costs, and increase work quality.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reports exist and are sent for all relevant activities, trends and revenues for mobile money services.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
- Professionally Qualified Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years in banking or similar environment with good experience in treasury operations.
- Advanced level in Excel, Access/ACL/FMS/other data analysis tools are a plus.
- Knowledge of XERO / QuickBooks or Salesforce will be an advantage
- Excellent communication
