Job Description
Sentinel Steel PLC was established in December 2013 with the purpose of setting up a hot rolling steel manufacturing plant in Ethiopia. It’s manufacturing facility is located in Bishoftu, Oromia State, Ethiopia. The company’s rebar manufacturing facility is intended to serve the burgeoning demand for quality steel in the local construction sector having a steel plant with an initial installed hot rolling capacity of 120,000 – 150,000 metric tons per annum (tpa).
Currently, the manufacturing facility is looking for qualified and ambitious Senior Mechanic for its Manufacturing plant as per the following description:
Summary of the Job
- Sets the molds for the required production, checks that all materials are ready for the required production
Detail duties and responsibilities
- Always checks the condition of molds.
- Cleans molds when necessary.
- Prepares and Sets the required molds for the production process with utmost precaution.
- Checks that all materials are ready for the required production.
- Closely follows up the production process in his area of responsibility to avoid any wastage and reworks.
- Assists/participates on any maintenance work.
- Respects company rules and regulations regarding safety.
- Performs any other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Education and Major requirements
- Diploma in Metal Technology or General Mechanics or similar field of study from a recognized college with 4 years related work experience.
- Or Certificate in Metal Technology or General Mechanics or Similar field of study from a recognized Technical and Vocational School (10+3) with 6 years related work experience.
Other requirements:
- Ability to closely follow up safety rules, regulations and precautions of the company.
- Ability to prepare the required molds timely in order not to disrupt the production process.
Language Skill
- English and Amharic and or Afan Oromo,
