Job description

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Communication Officer will play a critical role in ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of projects while enhancing communication strategies. This position aims to support the organization in achieving its objectives through data-driven decision-making and effective stakeholder engagement.

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Communication Officer will be responsible for the following:

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for various projects.
  • Design monitoring tools to collect relevant data and ensure adherence to project indicators.
  • Conduct regular assessments of project activities and outcomes, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Train staff and partners on monitoring tools and evaluation methodologies.

 

Communication:

  • Create and execute a communication strategy that raises the visibility of the organization’s initiatives.
  • Develop high-quality content for reports, publications, and digital platforms to effectively communicate project outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders through various channels to share project successes and lessons learned.

 

Data Management:

  • Maintain a robust database for tracking project progress against key performance indicators.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform project planning and reporting.
  • Prepare regular reports on project performance for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Digital Skills:

  • Assist in managing the organization’s website and social media platforms to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop engaging content for both the website and social media.

 

Job Type:  Fixed term contract, Full-time

About You

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, information technology, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, or communication roles.
  • Proven experience in managing websites and social media platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using data management software and communication tools.
