Overview:
Marakisoft, founded in 2007, is a local tech company with a clear mission to develop and implement in-house ERP software tailored to the Ethiopian market.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team. As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our business processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and overall organizational success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of managing complex operations.
Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing operations team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Project Management:
- Coordinate and prioritize projects to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Work closely with project managers and development teams to optimize project workflows.
- Implement project management best practices to enhance overall project delivery.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement robust risk management processes to safeguard business operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to proactively address potential challenges.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in the software development and supply industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with industry best practices, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
