Alema Koudijs Feed PLC is based in Debre Zeit and is Ethiopia’s major producer of animal feed. We are looking for a structured and enthusiastic procurement manager, who, on a daily basis secures our raw materials like corn, wheat, soya and food by-products.

Job description

• Conduct detailed market research on agricultural commodities, inputs, raw materials and by-products relevant to the company’s purchasing needs.
• Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics and supply chain developments to substantiate purchasing decisions.
• Develop and maintain a network in the agricultural space, including farmers, suppliers, government and industry experts.
• Monitor seasonal patterns, weather trends, and risks that may impact commodity availability and quality.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to develop procurement strategies that align with market conditions.
• Assess and report on competitive intelligence, including competitor sourcing practices and supplier relationships.
• Contribute to the development of annual purchasing budgets and forecasts, factoring in agronomic insights and market analysis.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management, production planners, and finance teams.

Requirement: BA degree by supply chain mgt, business management and related field

Qualifications and Skills

• A person who has at least 3 years’ experience in managerial position.
• A person who has experience working in agriculture, feed or flour factory is preferable.
• Good Computer skills: Power BI, Excel and outlook.
• Fluently speaking and writing in English.
• The candidate should present sufficient security or collateral for the responsibly he can bear.
