About the Job

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual and long-term procurement plans.
  • Develop sourcing and procurement plan.
  • Formulate sourcing and procurement budgets and submit recommendations for approval.
  • Determine the costs associated with delivering sourcing and procurement objectives and activities.
  • Analyse sourcing and procurement budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct sourcing and procurement related cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
  • Compile and analyse accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to procure the needed resources, inputs and assets.
  • Review procurement budgets to analyse trends affecting budget needs.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis, review financial requests or explore alternative sourcing and procurement methods.
  • Verify proposed departmental budgets and consolidate into one overall budget.
  • Sense check to establish whether requested budget is valid and within normal market escalation scenarios and proper budgeting governance frameworks.
  • Obtain approval for requested budget at executive level.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure integrated and aligned operational intent from a budgeting point of view.
  • Communicate, present and justify forecasted budget to senior management.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding budget requests.
  • Perform budget forecasting analysis and translate into relevant budgets.
  • Identify strategic suppliers based on the criticality of the goods or services they supply, and the complexity of the market.
  • Develop and maintain valuable relationships with strategic suppliers across the business and ensure implementation of effective supplier relationship management.
  • Design supplier-rating system to measure, evaluate and improve supplier performance, enabling the company to make informed future sourcing decisions.
  • Participate in suppliers’ management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
  • Keep track of the performance of key suppliers against established performance metrics.
  • Analyse information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
  • Monitor suppliers’ activities to assess performance in meeting quality or delivery requirements.
  • Analyse on-going viability of strategic supplier relationship and ensure it is delivering the expected benefits.
  • Develop and track appropriate metrics to manage supplier performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement supplier performance improvement initiatives
About You

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience.
