JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
PANA DM trading PLC is a private shoe manufacturing factory and seeking a qualified and experienced professional to hire in the position of Production Head.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Negotiation
Work Station: At factory Location: Tulefa town nearer to Federal Government of Ethiopia prison polices training institution Fiche town, 50-to 55km far from Addis Ababa along the road to Debreberhan, around 10km far from Aleltu town.
Main Responsibilities
A Production Head typically performs the following duties:-
1. Production Planning & Supervision
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
- Ensure shoe production targets are achieved on time
- Supervise all production section activities such as; cutting, stitching, lasting, sole attaching, finishing and packing
2. Factory Operations Management
- Monitor machine utilization and manpower efficiency
- Reduce production downtime and material waste
- Ensure smooth workflow in the factory
- Coordinate with maintenance, warehouse, and quality department
3. Quality Control
- Ensure shoes meet quality standards before shipment/loading /delivery
- Monitor defects and take corrective action
- Improve production quality continuously
4. Team Leadership
- Manage supervisors, line leaders, and workers
- Train employees on production procedures and hygiene and safety
- Evaluate staff performance
5. Safety & Compliance
- Implement workplace safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with labor and environmental regulations
- Maintain proper factory discipline
6. Reporting & KPI Monitoring
- Prepare production reports
- Monitor KPIs such as; daily output, rejection rate, efficiency, Machine downtime, material consumption
Qualification and Experience
Qualification:-
- BSC in:- Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Leather Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Management and related fields
Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in shoe or leather manufacturing
Required skills:-
- Computer skills (Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and manufacturing related softwares)
- Communication skills
