Job Description

An excellent Project Manager that has a vast experience in hotel projects preferably Accor brands. The succesful incumbent will be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines (MEP, Finishing, Interior Designer, FLS, Acoustic.. and the like) to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

The goal will be to ensure the projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, lead designers etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Draft a contract as per the interest of the client, negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of labourers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Issuing a Strategic Execution Plan in coordination with the Client
  • Prequalifying, soliciting, receiving and evaluating missing consultant’s bids and providing recommendations to the Client
  • Monitoring and controlling of the various scope of services of the missing consultants & contractors
  • Arranging and recording of Meetings
  • Issuing contractual technical documents: time schedule, scope of works or services, limit of works, common expenses list
  • Reviewing Consultants and Contractor’s contracts and issuing recommendations.
  • Developing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts
  • Control and record Project communications & documents
  • Reviewing and certifying payment applications
  • Reviewing and recommending to the Client any variations to the Consultants Service Agreements.
  • Providing advice to the Client regarding any penalties, Day-to-day management operations, overseeing construction process.
  • Change control management
  • Coordinating various Contractors & stakeholders
  • Ensuring that all necessary inspections and tests are carried out and that the results are up-to the set standards
  • Arranging for and monitoring the rectification of defective work including those
  • Commissioning Management & Contract Management
  • Prepare the final Certificate of Completeness
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed periodic reports & Managing the Quality control

Qualifications

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • Proven experience as project manager in the hotel sector
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
