Overview:

Marakisoft, founded in 2007, is a local tech company with a clear mission to develop and implement in-house ERP software tailored to the Ethiopian market.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and drive the successful execution of our ERP software deployment projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

  •  Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  •  Work closely with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  •  Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
  •  Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  •  Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA specialists.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
  •  Monitor team workloads and adjust assignments as needed to maintain optimal productivity.
  •  Collaborate with department heads to secure necessary resources for project success.

Stakeholder Communication:

  •  Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and ensure alignment with business goals.
  •  Facilitate effective and transparent communication within the project team.
  •  Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  •  Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  •  Collaborate with QA teams to establish and monitor testing procedures.

Budget Management:

  •  Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  •  Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
  •  Identify and implement cost-saving measures when applicable.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  •  Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with project management best practices and industry standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project management.
  •  Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. – Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
