Rubis Energy Ethiopia Ltd PLC (formerly Kobil Ethiopia Ltd PLC) wants to recruit for the following vacant position.

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is the management of Retail and C&I business in line with the company strategy and delivering the retail sales, C&I sales, operational and profitability targets for the various segments.

MAJOR DUTIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE: –

RETAIL

  • To manage and lead the sales team ensuring consistent delivery of the Customer Commitment and delivery of Sales targets.
  • Handle all Dealer communication effectively- on Rubis vision, strategy, new initiatives as well as customer correspondence, complaints and any other operational issues.
  • Monitor Country delivery of the Customer Commitment and compliance to Site Operations standards.
  • Ensure dealer compliance with laws and bylaws set up by National government, regional government and relevant regulatory authorities as concerns the running of retail stations including but not limited to procurement of all relevant licenses, Minimum wage etc. Constantly review and update relevant supportive operating manuals. Instigate remedial action plans where necessary.
  • Implement the Retail Strategy and support it at all levels (Network expansion plan, marketing activities, operational excellence (site housekeeping standards and customer service levels.
  • Supervise the Dealer management process including reward and recognition, consequence management as per the DLA on various areas.
  • Coach and supervise Sales team. Follow up on skills and competence development plan of the team and manage their performance through effective guidance, objective setting and performance appraisal and feedback processes.
  • Ensure full compliance to company credit policy and effectively deal with all issues that arise.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of all maintenance issues that impact sales, compromise safety and expose company and station to litigation.
  •  Manage all types of contracts with Dealers to ensure any possible exposure is mitigated.
  • Ensure all retail sales section and site operations are as per standard procedures and meet set key performance indicators.
  • Be the focal point on all retail sales audit queries and ensure timely follow up and closure of arising audit queries.

C&I

  • Meeting or exceeding the country’s sales goals by assigning individual targets to accounts and tracking the performance.
  • Generating Leads and tracking conversion to sales.
  • Coordinating appropriate and timely response to customer complaints and concerns to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Managing clean TAR as per the company policy.
  • End to end tracking of commercial customer’s orders from receipt to delivery by close coordination with operations team.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to fully understand business dynamics and identify opportunities.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.

Business Development

  • Key Player in prospecting for New Stations in line with Company network expansion aspirations and within set policies and procedures in regions where the company does not have presence.
  • Analyzing the sites marked for improvement by ensuring that the overall status allows for such development and advising the expected benefit from the investment.
  • Vetting of all new sites for compliance and approvals to avoid exposure to the company.
  • Oversee the end to end retail development process for each site from decision making, monitoring of progress of the project, handover of site and carry out post implementation analysis for evaluation.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRMENTS

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree Education in relevant field
  • Relevant industry experience of not less than 7 years, with a bias in Retail operations, Territory Management etc. Three years must have been spent in a senior role.

  • Demonstrate competence in managing a winning sales team, implementing standard processes, achieving sales targets, building relationships, and delivering results through people.
