The Carter Center – Ethiopia, which assists the Government of Ethiopia in Disease Elimination and Eradication Programs is looking for a qualified professional to fill the following Security Guard post for its country office:

Summary Job Description:
- Patrol the office premises regularly, both indoors and outdoors, to deter crime and ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
- Takes care of all properties of the office during duty hours.
- Proactively respond to threats and emergencies, taking immediate action to protect the organization and its personnel.
- Hands over properties of the office using the process prepared for that purpose.
- Wears security uniform and remains around the gate and/or compound during duty hours.
- Immediately report anything missing to the appropriate person and communicate any suspicious acts of theft or robbery to the police station.
- Handling visitors coming to the office courteously and directing them to the appropriate staff.
- Takes care of the compound garden along with day-to-day grounds maintenance, if requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
About You
Qualification: Grade 10/12 Completed plus military training
Experience: Minimum of five years relevant experience as a security guard with military background.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, visitors, and law enforcement.
- Must be physically fit to perform the assigned duties.
- Military background is highly advantageous.
- Recommendation letter from the most recent employer.
- Able to present release letter from current employer in two weeks after job offer
