Sila Security and Safety is looking for an energetic, dynamic and highly professional Security Manager to manage the overall aspect of security projects being implemented by Sila Security and Safety in Ethiopia.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs and produces security solutions while managing all project delivery elements within time limits and budget
• Responsible for developing and implementing security control policies and procedures for different clients.
• Manages the overall activities of security staff members and equipment
• Achieves maximum profitability and over-all success by controlling costs and quality of service.
• Completes weekly/monthly schedules: Schedule employees as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of security service.
• Supervises weekly/monthly schedules: Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service
• Submit security reports on a regular basis to the management of the organization and give professional advice when required.
• Responsible for interviewing and hiring security guards, vendors, selecting and ordering materials, negotiating rates, coordinating the sequence of events as it relates to security services
• Liaises with clients to identify their security needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
• Provides security feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders
• Proposes ideas to improve provided security services
• Ensures compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
• Specifies staff requirements and coordinate their activities
• Cooperates with marketing and PR to promote and publicize safety concerns
• Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
• Conducts pre- and post – security evaluations and report on outcomes
• Research market, identifies security services opportunities and generate interest
• Offers security advisory and consultancy services to clients
• Measure and track department’s success regularly
• Create report and present KPIs
• Adhere to company’s rules and regulations
• Other  task assigned by line manger

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education in security administration and  other related studies and certifications
• Experience in military, police and other security sector is desired
• 10 +  years of experience as security manager or similar role
• 5 +  years of experience with security protocols and procedures
• Previous leadership experience in the security industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and  leadership skills
• Ability to navigate under minimal supervisor
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other basic computer applications.
• Experience living and working in Ethiopia.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic
