Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing strategic financial guidance to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing documentation and support as needed.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry standards, advising management on potential implications and opportunities.

Job Requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
