Raras Technologies is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Senior Data Center Facility (DCF) Engineer to join our team in Addis Ababa. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, commission, and build out new data center facilities and structured cabling systems (UTP/STP, power, and fiber optics).
• Plan and execute projects to increase data center capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
• Install racks and manage power and cooling systems.
• Oversee data center infrastructure management and inventory asset management.
• Review contract compliance and ensure all SLAs are achieved.
• Manage and resolve infrastructure engineering issues within the data center.
• Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, and efficiency.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare operational and maintenance reports.
• Develop technical solutions and RFPs based on client capacity requirements.
• Design and implement data center systems including power, cooling, fire-fighting, alarm and access control, surveillance, and DC management systems.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare Bills of Material (BoM).
• Develop HLD, LLD, ATP, as-built documentation, and related technical documents.
• Deliver hands-on training and provide user manuals to clients.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with power distribution systems, UPS, batteries, and DC power systems.
• Basic knowledge of air conditioning and precision cooling systems for data centers.
• Familiarity with data center monitoring and management systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email applications.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
• Customer service–oriented mindset with analytical and forward-thinking ability.
• Managerial capability to supervise, guide, and empower team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial certifications (e.g., Huawei, Cannovate, Vertiv, or similar) are preferable.
• Experience working with structured cabling and critical facility infrastructure.
• Experience managing departmental operations and technical teams.
