Position Overview:
DROGA PHARMA PLC is an importer, distributor, and commission agent for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products in the territory of Ethiopia.
Our Company was established in April 2015 with two staff. Currently, we have a total of 400+ employees with different professional backgrounds and work Experience. And now, Droga Pharma PLC, as a business unit, is establishing a chain of pharmacies all over the Nation.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Computation of imported items value for tax purposes and IFRS reporting
- Calculating the costs of agricultural, rejects, and export products
- Compare the natural loss of export items with the standards set by regulatory bodies and report any differences on timely manner.
- Inventory and Goods in Transit accounting.
- Conduct periodic inventory count, coordinate physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and report the results on timely manner
- Calculate the actual and standard product costs (materials, labor, overhead) and analyze variances.
- Prepare process costing and closing journal
- Prepare reports on inventory status, obsolescence, and aging.
- Monthly period closure and reporting as per the period-end closing calendar.
- Manage the internal and external audit process with respect to inventory and cost accounting
- Assist in any other finance activity, of ad-hoc tasks, as requested
- Escalate urgent matters to the management when needed.
- B.A Degree / MSc in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Import, Retail, Export, and Manufacturing Environment.
