About the Job

Purpose of the Job: 

To streamline construction project management practices by monitoring and following up status of designated project sites.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure designs are applied correctly and liaise with contractors’ counterparts.
  • Follow up the status of assigned construction projects.
  • Monitors day‐to‐day progress and activities on project construction sites.
  • Prepare and provide periodical project sites status updates (E.g. Daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Solve problems and escalate, if found appropriate.
  • Understand and translate the projects scope and expected quality deliverables.
  • Provide advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects to the contractors.
  • Conduct all mandatory inspections to construction projects on the on-going basis.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

About You

Job Qualifications 

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Management, Computer Science and in other related disciplines.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 6 (six) years of demonstrated work experience of working as a Site Engineer in various Real Estate Projects.
  • Well experienced in overseeing finishing work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is highly required.
