Static Clinic Midwifery 15 views

The position holder shall be in charge of technical quality MCH implementation and delivery of the standardized Static clinic services in the assigned Districts. She/he will mainly be responsible for the daily implementation of the screening, OTP, SC, consultation, outreach EPI, health education, sanitation, safe motherhood and child health as per the guideline of Oromia RHB static clinic service guide line as primary health care. In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide supervision, technical assistance and capacity building to health extension workers and Health workers in health facilities. She/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of Static clinic MCH services package as per the standard, supporting health facilities assigned as integrated Static clinic modality with other SCI static clinic team and government health workers as team play.

Job Requirements

  • BSc/College Diploma preferably in Midwifery or public health Officer optional
  • At least three years working experience in the field out of which two years NGO   experience in related field is desirable
  • Experienced in Midwifery and health program implementation –data collection and compilation, working with counterpart for lasting intervention, training of health workers, etc.
  • Good written and spoken ability of the local language
  • Extremely flexible, able to work independently, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations.
  • Interest in and ability to work in team.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in remote, complex and potentially insecure environments
  • Scope & complexity of decision making (choose the appropriate description and delete the rest)
  • Able to work in line with strict adherence of specific policies and supervisor’s order.
  • Able to solve problems by selecting the most suitable procedure or method within guidelines and precedents; direction sought when solutions not within established guidelines or precedents
  • Able to make decisions using creativity and some independent judgement within realm of current scope of work; Decisions typically made in order to resolve and adapt current solutions or introduce new procedures and practices
