Purpose of the Job

The Maintenance Planning & Control is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and controlling the maintenance planning as well as implementation to ensure that all preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities are properly planned, scheduled, resourced, executed, monitored, and continuously improved. It also needed to ensure the maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently with the required manpower, materials, spare parts, tools, contractors, equipment, and technical information, while minimizing unplanned downtime and controlling maintenance cost.

• Develop and control the proper implementation of the annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance plans.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs at each production section, vehicles, buildings and facilities
• Control the internal and external maintenance work-order system and backlog.
• Identify required isolation/LOTO requirements for each plant with concerned sections
• Follow-up and control the external maintenance (outsourced) work orders, contractual services, sub-contracts, projects & service agreements and report the status periodically.
• Ensures availability of spares, materials, safety PPEs, manpower, tools and work permits before any maintenance
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production/Operations and HSE.
• Control & monitor Maintenance costs/expenses accordance with department budgets and annual target.
• Monitor planned Vs. actual maintenance performance and report according to the KPIs target
• Control maintenance backlog, schedule compliance, resource utilization, energy utilization and equipment performance.
• Coordinate major planned shutdowns and turnaround maintenance.
• Establish maintenance planning standards, SOPs, procedures and workflows.
• Ensure accurate maintenance history and equipment records in the soft and hard copy
• Managing the maintenance dashboard for the overall maintenance KPIs performance overview
• Support and record RCA, FMEA, criticality analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Identify recurring failures and ensure corrective actions are incorporated into maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to maintain appropriate critical spare availability.
• Ensure maintenance planning supports equipment reliability, OEE, MTTR reduction, MTBF improvement, safety, quality, and production target.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Knowledge and skills (Competence) 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or electrical Engineering or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and out of which 3-4 years proven work experience in planning and control in manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Planning, control, recording and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, schematics and technical manuals.
