Job Summary
The Technical Planner & Workshop Supervisor is responsible for planning maintenance activities, coordinating workshop jobs, and ensuring the availability of spare parts and resources. The role supports maintenance reliability by preparing accurate work plans and supervising workshop operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow company safety, hygiene, and quality rules.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans (preventive, predictive, and corrective).
- Prepare detailed job plans including manpower, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency, machine criticality, and operational needs.
- Coordinate schedules with production, technical, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Track work progress and follow up on delayed or pending tasks.
- Oversee workshop activities including machining, fabrication, welding, repairing, and part refurbishment.
- Allocate tasks to workshop technicians and monitor performance.
- Ensure repair and fabrication jobs meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain workshop equipment in good working condition.
- Enforce housekeeping, tool control, and safe working practices in the workshop.
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, materials, and consumables.
- Identify critical spares and ensure stock availability.
- Initiate purchase requests and coordinate with procurement for timely supply.
- Track spare parts usage and maintain updated inventory records.
- Reduce stockouts and optimize inventory costs.
- Record maintenance activities and job completion details in CMMS or logbooks.
- Maintain equipment history files, technical manuals, drawings, and inspection records.
- Generate maintenance reports: completed work, backlog, parts usage, and workshop output.
- Provide analysis on breakdown trends and maintenance performance.
- Ensure all workshop and maintenance activities follow safety standards and procedures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure technicians use proper PPE.
- Permit-to-work requirements, and safety checklists.
- Report safety hazards, incidents, and support investigation processes.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, safety, procurement, and technical teams.
- Communicate daily plans and expectations to technicians.
- Ensure clear handover of pending and ongoing tasks between shifts.
- Support technical audits and inspections when required.

- BA Degree in Mechanical or TVET level IV
- Experience greater than 4 years required
- Good communication skills
- Young, energetic, and passionate
