Job Description

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Training Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to plan, organize technical and non-technical training and provide training/educate mechanics and other staff on a daily basis so that a high level of service cab be provided to meet their expectation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training need assessments, plan and organize in- house training sessions.
  • Arrange training program timetable, and schedule training session.
  • Inform concerned parties about the training.
  • Ensure that the training venue is booked and ready for the training session.
  • Send out pre-training information to participants.
  • Ensure that the training material is ready and up-to-date.
  • Train the service maintenance service and other staff to enable them to have the correct understanding of the After Sales policy and its purpose as well as how it is implemented.
  • Record the attendance of employees for the training session.
  • Train/educate the part sales staff on the after sales policy, its purpose and as how it needs to be implemented.
  • Encourage employees to recognize the After-sales policy as their own objective.
  • Train mechanics to improve their level of technical expertise, and enable them to provide maintenance and repair with improved quality, cost, delivery time that will ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that those who receive training do give similar trainings to transfer their knowledge to other employees.
  • Keep records of mechanic and other staff trainings performed at the service shop for future reference purpose.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the trainers.
  • Handle any other task associated with organizing and scheduling training sessions.
  • Evaluate the impact of each training activity on the services shops and part sales processes, make necessary adjustment, and change on future trainings to make them much more improved and impacting.
  • Keep up-to-date about new Isuzu standards and train staff accordingly.
  • Ensure that the training room and equipment’s are ready for training.
  • Keep the training facility clean and in order.
  • Prepare training activities and outcome on weekly and monthly basis.

Job Requirements

Required Number           :  1(One)

Qualification                    :  BSc in Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering or related field

Work Experience            :  6 years in relevant role

Required Competence    :

  • Computer skill, excellent communication skills, English language proficiency
  • Interpersonal skill
  • Training skill
  • Customer service orientation
