Job Summary:
The Waiter / Customer Service Assistant is responsible for providing refreshments and hospitality services to clients, customers, guests, and staff while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional office environment. The role also includes supporting customer service activities, ensuring meeting areas are organized, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchenware and serving equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Hospitality & Refreshment Service
- Welcome clients, customers, guests, and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, water, and other refreshments to clients, guests, and staff.
- Ensure meeting rooms are properly arranged and stocked with refreshments before meetings.
- Monitor refreshment supplies and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in food and beverage preparation and service.
Customer Service Support
- Assist in creating a positive and comfortable experience for clients and visitors.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Respond courteously to basic inquiries and provide assistance when required.
- Support front-office activities during client visits, property launches, and company events.
Cleaning & Dishwashing
- Wash and sanitize cups, glasses, plates, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Keep the kitchen, pantry, and refreshment preparation areas clean and organized.
- Ensure proper storage of kitchenware and cleaning materials.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness standards at all times.
General Administrative Support
- Assist with office setup and hospitality arrangements during meetings and events.
- Support administrative staff with simple office-related tasks when assigned.
- Report maintenance, cleanliness, or supply issues to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum completion of Grade 10 (Grade 12 preferred).
- Previous experience as a waiter, hospitality attendant, office assistant, or customer service support staff is an advantage.
- Basic communication and customer service skills.
- Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
