Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Plans organizes , participate, co-ordinates and controls in the development of the activities of the Clinic and  Initiates policy and technical guidelines with respect to the clinic

·         Coordinates and works with other staff to ensure that the Strategic Framework/Plan is established, implemented and maintained effectively and efficiently in a cooperative and team  spirit

·          Keep up update data management of clients and case stories

·         Develop plans and implement training initiatives

·         Teaching will have as depend on college program

·         Ensure programme data is used for programme learning and revision, where applicable

·         Prepares Annual Work plan, periodic Progress Report and submits with quality reports

·         Plans, organizes, co-ordinates and controls all the work activities

·         Prepare and submit periodic performance reports

·         Provide management and technical assistance to organizing and delivery of services at clinics, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of efforts

·         Facilitate the implementation of Quality Improvement and standard control guidelines at the facility level; ensuring full compliance by service providers

·         Determining resource requirements (finances, technology, materials, technical, human, equipment etc) of clinics

·         Represent Technical Working Group and Committees at the college  level, contributing the input of the Relationship to the development and implementation of college policies and plans while enhancing the visibility of the Relationship

·         Implement systems for distribution and availability of drugs, commodities and consumables in clinic, and making appropriate inputs into stock reports to be submitted to the supervisor

·         Coordinate commodity quantification forecast and distribution of network facilities in partnership with the supply chain

·         Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirement

Ø   MD  (medical director) in public health or related field

Ø  5 years of experience  and the same or similar position is  advantages  

Skill

Ø  Proven ability to collect & analyze data and write reports that are of high demand

Ø  Experienced in organizing and facilitating

Ø  Computer literate (Word, Power point and Excel)

Ø  Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) 

Ø  Experience in working with multicultural team and complex environment

Ø  English and Amharic language writing and speaking

Ø  Ability to work in team, strong negotiation and analytical skills; ability to multitask and work under pressure and tight deadlines

Ø  Conduct regular supervisory visits to health facilities, these visits will include on-the-job coaching, mentoring, discussion

Ø  Ensures the establishment of well-functioning new-born corners within the health facilities

Ø  Builds and maintains good working relationships with the health center and other staffs

Ø   Keeps skills and knowledge updated
