Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Manager to oversee our financial operations and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 9 years or more of relevant experience. This role is critical in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reporting in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Develop financial reports for stakeholders, including quarterly performance reports.
  • Supervise payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Manage the budgeting process, including setting budget targets and monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets.
  • Develop cash management policies and procedures to optimize cash utilization and minimize risk.
  • Oversee procurement processes and ensure efficient administrative operations.
  • Collaborate with program managers to monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and facilitate annual audits.
  • Implement financial controls to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that work to minimize financial risk.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial objectives with overall organizational goals.
  • -Responsible to manage and monitor positions under their supervision which involves the accountant, storekeeper and purchaser roles.

About You

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9 years of work experience in finance and administration, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Peachtree) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Prior experience in international or local non-governmental organization.
