Job Description
- The HR initiative owner will be a member of STP’s Transformation Management Office (TMO)
- She/he will work closely with head of TMO, portfolio team and international expert to implement the talent initiative of the STP.
- Provide feedback and input to EIH’s own talent management system to ensure alignment with STP talent initiative.
- Manage assessment of talent / HR functions of subsidiary companies by circulating surveys, analyzing results and identifying and prioritizing gaps.
- Help organize periodic (monthly or quarterly) talent circles with HR heads of subsidiaries to share findings, provide training and tools.
- Be a champion and ensure all subsidiaries’ HR Heads initiates and implement performance management system, individual business KPIs and development goals.
- Facilitate and provide input for the drafting of STP talent guideline.
- Ensure subsidiaries put succession planning in place, have a database of future leaders. Initiate young leadership program across all functions and business units.
- Review and provide feedback for internal talent policies, HR functional structures, processes, and capabilities of subsidiaries as they work to comply with EIH talent guideline.
- Gather data, analyse and issue progress report to TMO and EIH management to evaluate progress and results of the STP talent initiative; identify gaps and recommend measures to.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Reports to: Chief Transformation Advisor / Officer
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in a Business Administration, Finance, or related field, ideally with specialization in HR or organizational health
- International certification in Talent elated fields is highly desirable.
- At least ten (10) years of experience with progressively higher responsibility in the talent / HR function of multinational business entity, including 5 years as a senior HR / talent executive
Competency requirements
- Expertise in the design, roll out and results tracking of talent transformation or restructuring program in a large business entity
- Experience managing at least three components of HR function, especially performance management, succession planning, competency framework
- Strong familiarity with the operations of banking / financial services, transport / logistics, construction, or any of EIH’s industry clusters
- Have positive can do attitude, passionate and change management leader, working under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English and Amharic
- Excellent skills in generating analytical and technical documents in a business context.
- Excellent listening and engaging skills including the ability to read organizational and team dynamics with the objective of creating a culture of excellence in line with the organization’s mission.
- Fluency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of additional local languages is desirable
