Short Description of the Position
About the role
We are seeking Import and Export Logistics Officer who will be tasked with the precise management and arrangement of the seamless transit of goods across international frontiers. This position ensures adherence to customs regulations, supervises the documentation processes, and collaborates with freight forwarders, shipping enterprises, and internal teams to enhance supply chain efficacy. The officer will also monitor shipments, negotiate freight tariffs, and resolve any logistical complications to guarantee prompt and cost-effective delivery.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination and Logistics Management
- Oversee the import and export process, ensuring timely and cost-efficient transportation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to ensure the seamless execution of shipments.
- Monitor shipment schedules, furnish regular updates, and address any logistical impediments.
- Prepare, review, and oversee the management of all requisite shipping and trade-related documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin).
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements.
- Assist with customs clearance and resolve any regulatory issues.
- Negotiate freight rates with shipping carriers to optimize costs.
- Track and analyze logistics expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of shipment records, costs, and compliance documentation.
- Address and resolve shipment issues, delays, and compliance concerns.
- Provide timely reports and insights on logistics operations to management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in import/export logistics role.
- Experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or customs clearance is required.
