Currently, Horra Corporate Group business portfolio includes coffee and oil seeds export, coffee plantation, automotive assembly, import and distribution, propylene technology manufacturing, technology, real estate development and transit and forwarding. Job Summary
The Senior Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing advanced automotive electrical and electronic systems, with a strong focus on Electric Vehicles (EVs). The role ensures optimal performance, safety, and reliability of EV and automotive electrical systems in line with manufacturer standards. The position also plays a key role in mentoring junior technicians, supporting after-sales operations, and ensuring efficient use of diagnostic tools and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of EV electrical systems, including high-voltage batteries, electric motors, inverters, onboard chargers, wiring harnesses, and control units.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of automotive electrical and electronic systems using OEM diagnostic tools and software.
- Ensure safe handling, testing, and isolation of high-voltage EV systems in compliance with international and local safety standards.
- Install, inspect, and maintain vehicle electrical components such as sensors, ECUs, lighting systems, infotainment systems, and charging interfaces.
- Maintain detailed service records, diagnostics, and parts usage using the ERP system.
- Provide technical leadership and on-the-job training to junior auto electricians and technicians.
- Support after-sales teams in resolving complex customer complaints and warranty-related electrical issues.
- Monitor emerging EV technologies and recommend improvements to service processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, especially related to high-voltage systems and workshop safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, Auto Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician, with proven experience in EV or hybrid vehicle systems.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical architecture and EV powertrain components.
- Proven ability to work with ERP systems
