Purpose of the Role
The Senior Field Sales Officer will be responsible to prospect for & win new clients by networking, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Need to plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Work as an individual contributor & generate potential leads & convert in to business. As an outside sales representative, the senior sales officer will also research sales competition.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients across various sectors,
- Generate leads through available various sales channels,
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue growth objectives,
- Supports customers’ account growth by conducting joint visits with product team & partners to look into standard & custom solutions,
- Present and demonstrate logistics services to clients, addressing their questions and concerns to win business.
- Coordinate with operations, inside sales, and product teams to ensure smooth service delivery,
- Coordinate bids/tenders,
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through responsive service and proactive communication.
- Produce weekly/monthly sales performance reports along with pipeline status, customer feedback, insights and recommendations by using CRM tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: BA Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related business fields.
- Experience: 5 years & above in business-to-business sales within a freight forwarding company.
Specialist Knowledge:
- Profound knowledge of international logistics & customs regulations under freight forwarding context,
- Understanding of Incoterms & international trade documentation
- Well versed with air & ocean – import & export business operations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good team player, with the ability to collaborate with and motivate co-worker
- Excellent in written & spoken English.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently and accuartely
