KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU Vehicles in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Senior Human Resource Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and administer the day-to-day personnel activities, process and maintain personnel data, manage personnel documents, update internal database, ensure all personnel operations are performed effectively, while maintaining company policy and procedures, and legal requirements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop human resource plan, and manage transfer, promotion, recruitment and selection of staff to provide required work force requirements.
  • Identify hiring needs, devise, and implement recruitment plan for hiring employees.
  • Implement and monitor employee performance appraisal regularly.
  • Administer compensation and benefits to ensure its compliance with company policy and laws and legislations.
  • Conduct survey, benchmark compensation and benefits; make annual salary review as appropriate.
  • Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes according to company policy, laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee discipline processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews to obtain feedback and make improvements.
  • Maintain personnel information system and employee database.
  • Communicate with employees regarding their inquiries about salary, workloads, work problem, company rules, and other concerns.
  • Communicate with other department officers regarding recruitment processes, regularizing of staff, and other important matters.
  • Coordinate with Human Resource Division Head to prepare and administer employee payroll information.
  • Answer employee’s queries about HR-related issues.
  • Manage employee processes such as leave, attendance, employees’ related letters, etc.
  • Update internal databases with new hire information, leave, transfer, promotion and related activities
  • Organize and maintain accurate personnel record both in computer and in paper formats.
  • Administer HR policy and procedures, and recommend changes in HR policy and procedure to improve HR administration activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on total number of hires by department, turnover rate, rate of absenteeism etc.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisal periodically to evaluate how well employees have completed their duty and to take any needful action accordingly.
  • Prepare performance reports for submission to Human Resource Division Head.

Job Requirements

Required Number           :  1(One)

Qualification                    :  BA Degree in HRM or related discipline

Work Experience            :  6 years as HR officer

Required Competence    :

  • Computer skill, written and oral communication skills, English language proficiency
  • Communication and relationship building skill
  • Knowledge labor law and related rule and regulations
