Job Description

  • IT Infrastructure Management and Administration

Taking ownership of all ongoing IT infrastructure management and administration tasks. Assisting IT Lead in overseeing the delivery of IT services, liaising with global IT on planned projects pertaining to infrastructure and network environment changes. Good understanding and experience working with Active Directory environment, Windows Servers and enterprise applications (ERP, SFA);

  • Corporate LAN & WLAN Administration and Support

Installing, configuring, testing and commissioning LAN and WLAN equipment at the head office and remote sites/offices in accordance with JTI standards. Providing general IT LAN support to end users. Ensuring that LAN, WAN & WLAN security is enforced and that information is secure from unauthorized access through enforcement of passkey management, network switch security and shared folders access rights. Planning, designing, producing and documenting network diagrams for all network sites;

  • Standards/Policies & Procedures 

– Actively contributes to the development of corporate JTI IT technological and methodology standards in the area of IT infrastructure & Business Applications (technology platform selection, best practices in software development, project management, etc.). Participates in corporate solutions piloting projects,  assessing potential impact of proposed solution on Market/Factory and ensuring that existing Market/Factory specifics are correctly understood and taken into consideration by the project team.

– Ensures quality execution by the Business Application team’s existing JTI IT processes/methodologies such as One Change Management, Project Management Framework, etc.. Ensures Business Application customers are aware and compliant  with these processes/methodologies;

  • Local Area Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting

Monitoring and troubleshooting active network equipment for fault detection and rectification and responding to network incidents. Diagnose and resolve underlying problems in the infrastructure, especially where these are caused by interactions between the network and other systems. Troubleshoot physical network points, network cables and Wi-Fi access point devices;

Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) & Business Continuity Management

  • Plan and implement a robust DRP by working hand in hand with Global datacenter and network operations teams. Preventive maintenance of network equipment to ensure equipment is in good operating condition. Ensure the existence of operational redudant networks to support the business in case of failure of primary networks;

Processes and Solutions Improvement

– Based on a good working knowledge of existing business processes/systems and IT technologies,  proactively looks for potential business improvements, evaluates existing best IT related practices (inside/outside JTI) , shares information among business community and provides recommendations for implementation within the Market/Factory.

– Setting right priority based on business criticality, required resources planning, leads discussion process, gathers and shares participants feedback and facilitates making  the final decision.

– Accountable for business requirements collection and verification, design and implementation of appropriate Market/Factory IT solutions/projects/services in alignment with strategic objectives and Operating Guidelines.

– Responsible for coordination with Corporate project team and Market/Factory IT resource planning on Factory/Market side to support implementation/modification of the corporate IT systems (SAP, TME, etc.). Accountable for implementation of Market/Factory solutions covering the functionality required by business functions but not existing in the corporate IT systems (SAP, TME, etc.), and program interfaces between these solutions and corporate IT systems.

– Ensures the usage of current Project Methodology standards within his/her team, as well as within Business functions during cross functional projects.

Internal and External Service Providers 

– Establishes effective working relationships with Internal (Center of Excellence, Global Technical Center, Global Development Center, IT Security) and External IT Service Providers.

– Ensures that all required resources (Internal/External) are properly evaluated and planned in advance in order to meet the business requirements.

– Support decision making regarding External IT Service Provider(s) selection in accordance with Operating Guidelines and JTI Policies & Procedures.

– Support contract preparation and execution, in coordination with Legal/Procurement teams. Ensures timely and sufficient fulfillment of commitments by Providers.

– Proactively escalates issues to Market/Factory IT Lead and inform/update him/her  about proposed/made decisions.

Job Requirements

Education:-

  • University Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science from a recognized institution (additional business education is a plus)

Experience:-

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise local area netowrks and wide area networks configuration, administration and support. 1+ years of IT management in enterprise infrastructure implementation area (including people management). Should have practical experience in Project Management in technical infrastructure implementation projects. Knowledge and experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage

Language & Computer Skill

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written).
  • Good interpersonal skills
