Job Description
- Provides the required technical and management support for successful implementation of EU cross project with the required quality standard.
- Lead the project teams and ensure the implementation of the projects.
- Conduct monthly BVA review with project staff and Finance and Admin officer and participate on the country office level both review with program team, and finance for the EU projects.
- Engage with the Consortium members from Kenya and South Sudan DCA office to strengthening smooth partnership across the CO.
- Engage with different stakeholders, consortium members and DCA cross border CO to ensure implementation and integration of humanitarian-development and peace building activities.
- Engage with project stakeholders to ensure that DCA projects are planned and implemented with full involvement of stakeholders at different level.
- Strictly follow the implementation of the DIP and the procurement plan with reference to the budget verses actual (BVA) analysis.
- In collaboration with the M&E staff and other technical staff put in place a realistic and actionable M&E plan for each project in South Omo and ensure the plans are implemented.
- Support the project team to collect lessons learned, best practices and shared with the relevant bodies.
- Prepare quality government, DCA and donor reports for all projects implemented in South Omo.
Delivery
- Overall management of DCA activities (program and administrative) at the field level, lead Field level management team and ensure that the team address the project implementation challenges timely.
- Ensure the EU cross boarder project activities and other projects in South Omo are implemented in accordance with donor requirements and as per the quality standard and agreed detail implementation plan.

Job Requirements
Qualification:
- MSC/First degree in a relevant discipline (Development Studies, DRR Management, food security, Agriculture, and related field) from a recognized university.
- 6/8 years practical experience in MSC/BSC respectively at the field and country office level in designing triple nexus approaches- humanitarian- development- peace building projects proposal and reporting writing capacity building and implementation of key donors, EU, DANIDA etc. specifically in the disaster affected area.
- Technical Training qualifications required: relief, disaster management, environmental sciences, natural resource management, climate science, peace building and social cohesion and related field.
- Experience working in South Omo area or other disaster affected area in Ethiopia with international NGOs, EU Fundings program is mandatory.
- Experience in cross border project management.
- Experience in portfolio management for different development/ livelihood programs. Understanding and practical experience of the triple nexus approach -humanitarian system, development and peace building.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards and principles and cross-cutting issues
- Experience in management and knowledge of basic accounting methods and procedures
- Ability to train and supervise a multi-cultural staff.
- Good cross-cultural Communication skills
- Excellent communication, networking and persuasion skills, particularly good mentoring, and capacity-building experience.
- An openness to learning about and understanding the culture, political, social, and economic situation of the country.
- Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Good public relations and public speaking skills
