About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Import & Export Officer to support and enhance our company’s international trade operations. This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, and global logistics.

Position Summary

The Senior Import & Export Officer will be responsible for coordinating import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, maintaining accurate records, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency. By applying technical expertise and attention to detail, the Senior Officer will play a vital role in safeguarding operational integrity and enabling the company’s growth in global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end import and export operations from order initiation to final delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and process import/export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, customs declarations, and related documents.
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, banks, customs authorities, and clearing agents.
  • Follow up import/export permits, Letter of Credit (LC) processes, customs clearance procedures, and shipment schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, banking requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate transportation, logistics, and warehousing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide timely operational updates and reports.
  • Handle shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational challenges effectively.
  • Maintain proper physical and electronic records of import/export transactions.
About You

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or Management with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in import/export operations.
  • Experience in international trade documentation, logistics coordination, and customs clearance is required.
