Tearfund Ethiopia is looking for an Assistant Disability Inclusion Officer. The primary role of the Assistant Disability Inclusion Officer is to assist Lead for Disability Inclusion in designing, implementing and evaluating disability inclusive projects, as well as in promoting disability inclusive approach within the country office and partner organizations of Tearfund Ethiopia.
Job Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Social Works, Education, and/or related fields.
- Minimum one year of professional work experience in disability inclusion and related programs.
- Experience working on disability inclusion as well as on coordination.
- Progressive experience in promoting disability inclusion
- Networking with the communities at large, and with organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) in particular
- Skills of inclusive communication as well as mobility and orientation
- Project management and basic monitoring and evaluation skills
The successful applicant will also have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong facilitation abilities
- Documentation management and organisation skills
- Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities
- Ability to safeguard the wellbeing of children and adults at risk
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
- Oral and written fluency in English and Amharic.

This role will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and it requires fluency in local language, therefore Ethiopian nationals will be given preference for this role.
