Call for Local NGO Partners – humedica e.V

Humedica e.V. is seeking to expand its network of reliable local NGO partners to jointly implement health‑focused and gender‑transformative humanitarian and development projects under One Humedica 2030. This call is aligned with international standards, including humedica partnership criteria, emphasizing accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and measurable impact.

Selected partners will collaborate with Humedica to deliver high‑quality and innovative health interventions that strengthen primary health care systems, improve access to essential services, and promote community resilience. Particular emphasis will be placed on gender equality and transformative approaches that challenge harmful norms, empower women and girls, and ensure equitable participation of all genders in health programming.

Geographic Focus Applications are invited from NGOs operating in:

  • Tigray
  • Amhara
  • Afar
  • South Omo
  • Oromia

Eligibility Criteria

  • Legally registered local NGO with valid license and operational presence in Ethiopia.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven track record in humanitarian or development programming.
  • Demonstrated technical capacity in one or more thematic areas:
    • Health and nutrition
    • Gender‑based violence (GBV) prevention and response
    • Traditional medicine and community health practices
    • Child protection and safeguarding
    • Disability inclusion and rights advocacy
  • Strong financial management systems, internal controls, and compliance with donor regulations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion, and accountability to affected populations.
  • Capacity to manage projects with financial volume up to €250,000 annually.
  • Willingness to undergo due diligence and comply with humedica’s partnership policies.
About You

Application Requirements Interested NGOs must submit:

  • Organizational profile (mission, vision, governance, staffing, and key achievements).
  • Evidence of past or ongoing projects in target regions, including references.
  • Latest audited financial statement and proof of sound financial systems.
  • Registration certificate and other legal documents.
  • Proposal concept note aligned with Humedica’s OH2030 strategy (especially Pillar 1: dignity, compassion, justice).
  • Safeguarding and gender equality policies (if available).
