Position summary
  A safety engineer is responsible for preventing workplace accidents and reducing the risk associated with human error to ensure the proper functioning of machines. The Safety Engineer develops procedures and systems to prevent employees from facing workplace hazards. The Safety Engineer shall create engineered systems and designs to ensure that chemicals, machinery, or software do not harm employees or damage properties. A part of the job role involves the inspection of facilities, safety equipment, and machinery. Using this analysis, a safety engineer recommends solutions that ensure workplace safety.

Essential duties:
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  •  Enforce implementation of HSE Policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and third parties on site
  • Enforce safety corrective actions as a result of site inspections, investigations, or compliance requirements
  • Intervene in any unsafe activities or operations and take immediate action to correct the unsafe conditions, performance, or actions
  • Provide safety training to employees and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Prepare and provide site HSE reports, as required by Yegna site management.
  •  Review and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into all construction activities.

Job Requirements

Qualification
  Education :
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil Engineering or related fields
  Experience :
  •  6 years or more in Real Estate Construction and high-rise building Projects
 Skills and Behaviors • Proven experience as a construction Safety Engineer-Se:
  • In-depth understanding of construction management principles
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong team management and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management, project budgeting, resource management, and project scheduling skills
