Responsibilities for Sales Engineer

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Talk with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.
  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment.
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production.
  • Plan detailed presentations that show clients your product info, pricing, and benefits.
  • Develop products or program suggestions for clients and successfully sell them.
  • Manage billing and delivery of solid products.
  • Meet with clients at appointments for sales presentations.
  • Follow up on solid products to ensure the customer is happy.
  • Acquire new customers by winning them over from competitors and discovering new opportunities.
  • Participate in the entire sales process – initial discovery, project review, design submission, component installation
  • Work with customers to present a technical perspective on the company’s sales offering.
  • Collaborate with the Local Operations Teams to obtain contractor quotes in support of sales opportunities.
  • Provide alternative solutions as required to meet unique end user, component or installation criteria.
  • Assist with development of customer presentation tools and coordination of end-user site visits.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies for key vertical market segments.
  • Provide company representation in industry forums, conferences, and related events
  • Interface with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of solution delivery to individual end users.
  • Develop and implement product and application training programs for Sales organization

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Qualification: BSC Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to communicate technological solutions and product knowledge not only to technical but to business users as well.
  • Understanding of the Sales Cycle and where the Sales Engineering Team is responsible
  • Must be Awareness about Generators, pumps, Battery and UPS.

Preferred:

  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal communications, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain focus and business acumen under sometimes stressful sales/business negotiations.
