Job Description
This is an administrative and operational role that primarily focuses on coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs. In this role, you set a preventative maintenance schedule and track the completion of these maintenance tasks which are carried out by mechanics and other truck maintenance operators.
Major Responsibility: Preventing downtime and extending asset lifespan.
- Coordinate, schedule and audit fleet maintenance repairs and develop standard vehicle inspection routines.
- Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and make sure it is according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Prepare and address comprehensive daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and tires.
- Maintain a database of truck and driver information.
- Maintain streamlined fleet maintenance processes.
- Coach, mentor and prepare training for technicians and mechanics on proper maintenance procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with the purchase or lease of vehicles and spare parts.
- Assist with maintenance process improvement.
- Ensure necessary quality and safety precautions are followed during all phases of maintenance and repair operations.
- Estimating costs for repairs, consulting with management regarding budget limits, and approving repair orders.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international and national regulations.
- Manage facilities, assuring a standard, clean and safe working environment.
- Prepare action plans and implement accordingly.
- Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses for maintenance operations.
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Ensure the use of proper maintenance techniques.
- Develop and implement new maintenance guidelines, policies and procedures for the company.
- Develop job description, job specification and performance evaluation formats for all the staff under the Truck maintenance supervisor.
- Engage in project acquisition via tender, invitation or other mechanisms.
- Handling any other task given by direct superior.

Job Requirements
Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- 4 years of experience in automotive maintenance and GPS technology.
- Expert knowledge of the different types and processes of fleet maintenance.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with different teams.
- Strong computer proficiency with office software for filing reports and tracking maintenance schedules. • Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills for keeping the fleet maintenance on schedule.
- Having a driving license is preferred.
